there's no character to this film; what a bore. freeman is good, but his performance isn't nearly as strong as jeremy renner in the hurt locker or sharlto copley in district 9. (or, i assume, jeff bridges in crazy heart.)
if you want great eastwood/freeman, watch unforgiven and million dollar baby. (well, watch them anyway.)
three stars for a compelling story and damon, who's the best thing here. (and pretty, too!!)
