Dad's take: IMDB goofs

"So I'm watching Groundhog Day, as I usually do, on Groundhog Day and it hits me--something's wrong; what is it? Well, in Punxsutawney on Feb 2, the sun doesn't come up until 7:28 in the morning (see http://www.sunrisesunset.com/calendar.asp) so how can Phil look out his window at 6:00 am and see the street with no snow on it bathed in sunlight? Excited, I go to imdb.com to figure out how to post this incredibly insightful error on the site and guess what? It's the first thing listed under Goofs. My one chance to be a geek and it's already taken.!

That's when I realize what geekdom is really all about,; it's epitomized by this "goof": "When Bill Murray gives the young couple Wrestlemania tickets, the girl, after calming down, responds with "We're going to be in Pittsburgh anyways." This movie came out in 1993, so they were either referring to Wrestlemania IX or Wrestlemania X, which were held in Las Vegas and New York City respectively, so there's no way they could have been Wrestlemania tickets. Either way, Wrestlemania's never been held in Pittsburgh."

Oh well. Love, Dad"

hahaha, I LOVE that, dad! You are also so right about the nerd-dom of IMDB goofs, I actually managed to post one once (about Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Indy pouring out all the water from the grail on his dad's wound and then the next shot showing the cup half full) only to be given an asterisk by someone else who points out that while we are not given any evidence that the grail can refill itself we also aren't given evidence that it can't (then why is it not constantly full of water??? why is it empty when elsa crosses the seal???). actually, come to think of it, I am the embodiment of the IMDB nerd. :)
