you know me and inspirational sports movies...

I totally did not just tear up in a trailer about a racehorse, shut up.

By the way, if you were not a horse kid like me, and didn't love crap like this, here's video of one of the most dominating individual performances in the history of sports. (um, oh yeah, spoiler alert. that is if i have to provide that on historical things that you should have been able to figure out by the above trailer)

(yeah, i'm that big a nerd)

Is it time already?

To start thinking about Awards Show Season 2011??? Apparently the Golden Globes thought so, and decided to lock up Mr. Gervais for another year (maybe they were worried about the Oscars trying to steal him away and avoid another travesty like this past year). Either way, whoohoo, more Ricky Gervais!

today i'd like to thank the 8lb 6oz baby jesus for...

SUMMER MOVIES!

it's time to give that brain of yours a much needed break! no smarty pants documentaries or reading movies here my friends, just some good ol' fashioned blowing shit up-funny guy-actiony-chick flick-animated entertainment!

let's DO THIS, summer!

So wrong it's right

Today in absolutely ridiculous pairings... William Shatner and Lin Yu Chun (who, by the way, deserves to have people know his name, instead of just calling him "Taiwan's Susan Boyle." Are we really that unable to remember any foreign name, America?).

If you missed him taking on Whitney, it's worth checking out:

axis of awesome, indeed

This helps numb the pain of my earlier post somewhat.

noooooooooooooooo!!!

it's a sad day for us all. Apparently some movie producers are really cracking down on their movie's distribution on youtube. Now, this wouldn't be particularly shocking or disturbing news, except for the movie in question is "Downfall", the film that brought us Hitler's reactions to the current news stories. So youtube is slowly removing them. sigh.

So enjoy while you can, ladies and gentlemen. Hitler is a cowboys fan is already no more. You can still enjoy his reaction to Kanye's interruption of Taylor Swift here. (I feel like Jack Ryan in Clear and Present Danger trying to see everything on Ritter's computer before it's deleted. And if you didn't get that reference you are probably not my sister or father).

Thankfully, we still have Funny or Die to give us Hitler's reaction to the news that Hitler reaction videos will be removed:

Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour

For those Seattlites who missed Conan O'Brien's show last night, I can only say I'm sorry. Because damn, that man is funny (and, by the way, HOT). With his new beard and special guests Andy Richter (I could seriously watch those two men talk to each other for hours), Dave Matthews (whose crazed response from the crowd made me feel like I got into some kind of... hot tub time machine), Triumph the insult comic dog, the masturbating bear (reconfigured as the self-pleasuring panda, take that NBC intellectual property lawyers), and the Walker Texas Ranger Lever (or, excuse me, the Chuck Norris Small Town Cop Crank), it made me remember how much I miss him being on TV (thanks for taking care of that, TBS). And thanks for celebrating your b-day with us, Conan!

So, for now, this is all I (and more importantly, youtube) have to offer those who missed it...

i'm kind of in love with Jimmy Fallon right now...

the man's been on a roll lately (and that's saying something, because remember that this is the man that brought tears of joy to my eyes with this).

I mean, come on, a glee parody??? with the cast of Parks and Recreation?? And a killer game of charades featuring two of my favorite things- Tina Fey and Clash of the Titans???

well done, jimmy (and Amy Poehler, the other constant between both videos), well done indeed.

by the way, for the Lost fans out there, you should also totally check out the genius that is "Late": here are episodes 1, 2, 3, and 4. I make no promises for the entertainment value to non-Lost fans.

happy hump day!!

"he kicks whitney's ass... maybe he can cover her european tour?"
*trisha todd magallon

suck it, Nicholas Sparks

yeah, okay, i enjoy the notebook, but who doesn't? It sure doesn't mean I can't still hate on the ridiculousness that is Nicholas Sparks. Fortunately, I don't have to work very hard, thanks to our friends over at cracked.com. The man actually said: "There are no authors in my genre. No one is doing what I do."

douchebag.

Check out an actually readable version of the above brilliance along with the rest of the article here.

happy easter part 2!

first: watch jess' genius easter post, second: check out what funny guy (and nationally recognized hot pocketarian) jim gaffigan has to say about easter (and holidays in general!).

happy easter!

a couple of important lessons from Eddie Izzard and Barney Stinson (sadly no video on that one, but you can still learn the 3 days rule...)
