...but the news that the Oscars are cutting performances by the Best Song nominees really bums me out. Yes, two of the songs I would not know (having not seen Nine on principle and not seen Paris 36 because who the hell has), but I still enjoy a good musical number. And seeing as we're without Hugh Jackman (that's right, I'm going to link to his Oscar opening number again, because, DAMN, I love it), we probably won't have many song and dance routines in other parts of the show. Though Alec Baldwin may surprise me. Plus, let's face it, "The Weary Kind" is amazing. Take it away Ryan Bingham performance (that we will not be seeing at the Oscars).
Also, I need to provide a little shout out for the two songs nominated from The Princess and the Frog, because I really kind of loved that movie. And it would be nice for people other than me and the 12 others who saw it in theaters to hear them.
