Looks like Hugh Jackman has officially turned down hosting the Oscars this year. That was pretty expected, but now all the guessing has to start over who it will be. As loyal readers know, we were surprisingly happy with Jackman's hosting, so this actually makes me a little sad. Especially given some of the names I'm seeing thrown around as ideas for potential hosts. Mariah Carey? I don't care if she is awesome in "Precious," I don't want her hosting my Oscars. Will Smith? I just threw up a little in my mouth.
Plus, the Oscars now have to contend with the (previously always host-less) Golden Globes and their genius hire of Ricky Gervais.

but let's hope the Oscars have their heads on straight and remember how awesome Jon Stewart was. Or, listen to that quiet chanting coming from my corner: "NPH, NPH, NPH!"
