Oh Facebook, you know I love you. But, as this article points out, you do make a screenwriter's job much more difficult. Missed connections, mistaken identities, removing memories of a person, it's all pretty much out the door with status updates and photo tagging. It makes me scared for future plots...

Urlesque.com points out that all that drama in the trailer for "The Social Network" (a movie about facebook, mind you) is pretty much solely the result of the music (a choir cover of Radiohead's "Creep"). How do they make this point? I'll let keyboard cat answer that question...
The cast of Pirhana 3D presents its argument for why the film should sweep the Oscars. It's compelling enough to almost make me want to see it (and to make me really miss Party Down. I heart you, Adam Scott)
proving once and for all that NASA has, by far, the coolest nerds...
a lot of people named Mike in the building.
have I mentioned lately that I love Jimmy Fallon? because, um, yeah, that was a rap about the Hubble telescope featuring actual scientists from NASA. Enough said. tip of the hat to Cole for the link!
Yes, it's almost time for the season of "serious" movies (see you next year Nic Cage...), which means one of our other great loves- documentaries! A team of awesome filmmakers (including 3pies4rolls favorite, Seth Gordon!) are making a movie on Freakonomics. get ready for the learnin'!
3pies4rolls boyfriend Joseph Gordon-Levitt is pretty much a dreamboat. Aside from the fabulous movies he makes (Brick, Mysterious Skin, Inception, (500) Days of Summer to name a few) and the general hot-being he deals with every day, he also started a project called hitRECord, a professional open production company that creates and develops art and media collaboratively (find out more about them here). Anyway, all that is merely a prelude to your fun video for the day. If you love words and you love JGL, this is right up your alley...
in fact, this woman actually made me enjoy this crap black eyed peas song. impossible you say! nothing could make listening to fergie talk about her humps anything but eye stabbingly awful you implore! well friend, your skepticism is certainly well deserved. but, i beg you, suck it up and give the lady a chance:
right? honestly, they should hire her for every show.
I mean, they're making a movie based on "Battleship". I honestly can't believe there hasn't been an Oregon Trail movie yet...
oh, and by the way, I would TOTALLY see this movie. (even if it doesn't go into my preferred technique of buying as many oxen as I could afford, setting their rations on "meager", and running them at the fastest pace. I swear my cruelty is only directed at poorly animated animals)
