i think this is my favorite spokesmanship ever

thank you steve nash and vitaminwater. thank you.

awesomeness also featured here, here, and here

Funny? Or makes you want to die?

maybe a bit of both, given the totally legitimate possibility that this movie could exist (remember, someone once greenlit Wild Hogs 2)

dude. you are TOTALLY forgiven for waterworld, tin cup and even message in a bottle!

PEOPLE! have you heard the news? this guy:

is about to SAVE THE WORLD!

crazy right? on behalf of 3pies4rolls, we'd like to thank oscar winner kevin costner for having more money and better foresight than our very own US government (and, of course, for robin hood: prince of thieves...dreamy...).

keep up the good work!

4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42

As the lone Lost watcher of 3pies4rolls, I think it's only my place to give a little ode to the awesomeness that was Lost. I figure some of our readers have to be with me on this (venn diagram, anyone?). but, really, this is probably only for those of you out there who join me on team-Lost, because otherwise i make no promises of the entertainment value of the rest of this post.

but for those of you who are still wondering what ever happened to Walt, a collection:

Alternate endings from the Lost creators (don't worry, no real series finale spoilers)

jimmy kimmel's surprisingly funny this week in unnecessary censorship

and the first episode of Jimmy Fallon's genius Lost parody: Late (be sure to check them all out, I think they've done 7 or 8 now)

I will probably add to this list as I find more awesome Lost-related things, so check in again

UPDATE: aaaaaaaaaand my new favorite Lost related video- just in case you had forgotten about all those questions you wanted Lost to answer in the lovely character closure of the finale, here's a reminder:

ode to natural eyeliner...

non-Lost watchers, this is not for you :)

tip of the hat to Karyn...

Look at how funky he is

Okay, so this hasn't been posted earlier because, frankly, I couldn't find any possible way to improve upon Jezebel's genius article.

So instead I'm just going to ride the coattails of all the awesome work they did compiling these, and share their glory. If you're looking for background, take a look at the video at the very end of the post...

It makes me very happy to realize that other people in this world appreciate the genius of Teen Witch's "Top That" rap scene to have covered it in such worthy ways...

Maeby Bluth (okay, I guess it's Alia Shawkat, but you'll always be Maeby to me!) shows off her skillz:

God, 30 Rock is genius:

The Totally Rad Show gives homage to it:

and, finally, my personal favorite, Andy Samberg and the Lonely Island's rockumentary coverage:

and in case you don't even know the wonder that is Teen Witch, check out the original trailer:

you can now proceed to never being able to get that song out of your head again. I'll be over here singing about being the most popular girl...

Yo, homes, smell ya later!

I choose to watch this with my eyes closed, because I'd much rather live in a world where Sir Ian McKellen does a dramatic reading of the Fresh Prince theme song than in one where some dude doing a Sir Ian McKellen impersonation does a dramatic reading of the Fresh Prince theme song. but that's just me.

who you gonna call?

Okay, so this is rad. Apparently Improv Everywhere was approached by the New York Public Library about doing something awesome to remind people that the library is cool. This is the result:

Read more about it here

special thanks to double hot tippers v-dawg and nancy

this is actually kind of funny

surprising, given that it features Michael Bolton and Jimmy Kimmel. hmmm...

Monday, May 10, 2010

wow

god I hope this movie accomplishes what it's trying to...

it's being hailed as "'An Inconvenient Truth' for our education system." Seeing how well we're doing with that whole climate change thing, I hope it's a little better. oh, and I hope it's not a powerpoint presentation...

thanks to hot tipper v-dawg!

today's (un)shocking news: betty white ruled on SNL

missed it? you can watch the whole thing here.

just want to see some highlights? here are my two fave sketches and one awesome performance from jay-z (with an adorable betty white shout out at the end. seriously hova? i can hardly stand it.)

Nazis do not appreciate poor grammar

as shown by this college humor piece (lousy lack of embedding...)

vomit

ready for today's "shocking" news? Sounds like Bearded Insanity (formerly known as Joaquin Phoenix) is finally admitting that his crazy pills ride was part of a mockumentary with brother-in-law/guilty by association Casey Affleck. Yawn. Does anyone still care? Scratch that, did anyone ever care? This shit is gonna have to get reviewed as if it's the Mona Lisa if there's gonna be any chance in hell that I see it. Seriously, Joaquin, I loved you so once. Now you can suck it.

Want to relive the crazy? Are you sure? Watch this again, and then talk to me.

AMAZING

thank the baby jesus for the internet, because without it we wouldn't have jewels like this- the entirety of star wars, as told through in 2 minutes through legos. What I really need to know here is if you can actually buy the Han frozen in carbonite lego piece. because I want it.

Hollywood presidents take on today's issues...

What would Andrew Shepherd do?

and in a related story, die in a fire Fred Thompson.

thanks to hot tipper Nancy G!

I heart Paul Rudd

Man, I wish I could embed this, because holy crap I love Paul Rudd. This is a fine day's work, sir.

Instead, I'll just give you this. You're welcome.
